As of 2023, there are a lot of people within the academic community who are wary about the use of AI within schools. I understand the reasoning behind this sentiment. However, generative AI will not go away, so we’ll have to do what we can to ensure that we’re using this tool sensibly and ethically.

I was tasked with creating a micro-learning video about generative AI for the academic community of the George Washington University, and I decided that it would be fun to illustrate and animate it. By using my storytelling, script writing, and illustration skills, the viewer is guided in a fun and easy way to learn how they could use generative AI to streamline common, monotonous tasks when they’re in a pinch.

The style of illustration reflects the contents within the inspiration and mood boards I’ve created. Heavily inspired by Cartoon Modern, its revival in the 1990s, and the 1960s psychedelic aesthetic, this micro-learning video was a fun and cheeky way to assure the viewer that using generative AI isn’t too bad if used to complete everyday, mundane tasks.
